Pendant l’Occupation, André Gall était le pasteur de la paroisse protestante de Florac, dans la Lozère. Sa femme Fleur et lui risquèrent leur vie pour cacher des juifs persécutés, leur venir en aide, leur fournir de faux papiers et des cartes d’alimentation et leur trouver des cachettes. En 1943, ils hébergèrent le peintre juif Jacques Barosin et sa femme Sonia, qui s’étaient enfuis du camp de Gurs. Ils les accompagnèrent à Montméjean, petit village de montagne au sud de Florac, et les confièrent à Simone Serrière (q.v), une institutrice qui accepta de les héberger. L’été venu, des habitants du village découvrirent la présence du couple juif; Fleur Gal organisa leur retour à Florac où son mari leur trouva une nouvelle cachette.
Le 22 décembre 1983, Yad Vashem a décerné au pasteur André Gall et à sa femme Fleur le titre de Juste parmi les Nations.
